European Fashion Award FASH 2025 for Students

The European Fashion Award FASH 2025 will be presented on 15 May 2025 as part of the new Munich Fashion Award.

The award is dedicated to the sustainable promotion of talented design students from all over Europe. The winners will receive a total of 5,000 euros in prize money.

Applications for the European Fashion Award FASH 2025 are now officially open. Students interested in applying are invited to submit their portfolio, letter of motivation, and CV by no later than 30 March 2025. A distinguished jury of internationally experienced experts will select the finalists before the award winners are chosen in a two-stage process.

Easy Application via New Website The new sdbi.de website has made the application process easier and more user-friendly. It has been given a completely new technical basis. Applicants can now upload their portfolios directly to the website in a single step with the application.

The website’s content has also been restructured to provide a clearer overview of the award, the foundation, and an archive of previous award winners and calls for entries.

Three Categories for Students Across Europe

The Europe-wide award is open to talented students from all design disciplines – especially from the fields of textile and fashion design.

Students can enter in the following categories:

1. Students (up to Bachelor degree)
2. Bachelor: Bachelor theses (from the examination date of 1 May 2023)
3. Master: Students and Master’s/PhD theses (from 1 May 2023)

The deadline for application and submission of the portfolio is 30 March 2025.

The European Fashion Award FASH is one of the most prestigious international awards for fashion students and is presented by the Foundation of the German Fashion Industry (SDBI). Founded in Munich in 1978, the SDBI is the world’s oldest organisation dedicated to supporting fashion students.

The talents honoured with the European Fashion Award FASH have excellent career prospects and today work for renowned international brands such as Adidas, Fila, Gucci, Hugo Boss, s.Oliver, Zalando, and for celebrated designers like Dries van Noten and Vivienne Westwood – some in management positions such as Senior Designer or Head of Design. Many of the award winners have also been honoured with other major awards in the fashion industry.
