adidas SPZL and C.P. Company announcing their collaborative collection Italian design, German engineering, British culture.
adidas SPZL and C.P. Company team up for the Fall/Winter 2024, celebrating 10 years of adidas SPZL. This collection fuses C.P. Company‘s heritage with SPZL’s silhouettes, resulting in a distinctive lineup of apparel, footwear, and accessories.
Curated by Gary Aspden, adidas SPZL is a premium line that reinterprets the brand’s ’70s archive with a contemporary approach.
The best collaborations, in my experience, are founded in genuine relationships. Working with C.P. Company again was a natural choice, built on trust and mutual respect. Together, we’ve created a modern collection that draws on the era when I first discovered C.P. Company, with a carefully curated color palette and styling.
— Gary Aspden, curator of adidas SPZL
Building on their collaboration for C.P. Company’s 50th anniversary in 2021, this new release merges the design languages of both brands. C.P. Company’s signature elements like the British Sailor logo and Mille Jacket branding blend seamlessly with adidas SPZL silhouettes, creating a bold reinterpretation that bridges Italian brand’s heritage with SPZL’s ongoing homage to the Three Stripes archive.
For us at C.P. Company, it’s an honour to collaborate once more with adidas SPZL in the year of their 10th anniversary. This partnership celebrates everything we share as brands, as a community, and as people. Both of our brands have consistently held cultural relevance for so many, and Gary and I share the same values and vision for the world. It’s a natural and perfect match!
— Lorenzo Osti, President of C.P. Company
The footwear selection features the Italia SPZL in Royal Blue, released first time in 2021 collaboration, the Wimberly SPZL (a reimagined perforated Universal from the ’80s, in leather and suede), the Helvellyn SPZL mid-top inspired by ’80s outdoor adidas Nepal, the SL83 SPZL based on the SL82, and the Manchester SPZL updated with premium materials. The apparel range has resulted in standout outerwear pieces that embody C.P. Company’s technical expertise, such as the Flatt Nylon Long Down Jacket and the Flying Jacket.
Crafted from Flatt Nylon, an emerized opaque nylon with a light resin finish on the reverse, each jacket features front pockets, embroidered logo patches on the chest, and the iconic C.P. Company Lens on the left wrist, custom-designed for this collaboration.
The Flying Jacket draws inspiration from classic aviation styles, highlighted by a faux fur-lined collar.
Playful nods to C.P. Company’s archive continue with pocket tees with Mille Jacket-inspired details, a sweatshirt featuring the C.P. Company British Sailor logo, and a half-zip knit that updates the Mod Trefoil design from SPZL’s debut in 2014. Completing the lineup is a Corduroy track top and pants, alongside a shoulder bag, two caps, and gloves.
To launch the collaboration, a short film was produced featuring actor and musician Ashley Walters, award-winning actor Stephen Graham, music legend Goldie, along with Robert Brooks and Toby Mclellan, both prominent figures in British streetwear and adidas SPZL collaborators.
The collection is available on adidas and C.P. Company official channels, and worldwide selected retailers, starting 12th November 2024.

In 1971 Massimo Osti, a young graphic designer from Bologna who would go on to be recognized as the “godfather of urban sportswear,” founded the brand Chester Perry, famous for its screen-printed t-shirts. In 1978 he changed the name in C.P. Company. This drier, more mature name inaugurated one of the most explosive and influential bursts of creativity in the history of sportswear.
Over the last decades the brand has continued to pioneer a connoisseurial hybrid style that combines the functionality of vintage military, work and sportswear with intense fabric research and innovation, heightened by using garment dyeing, a technique which C.P. Company was the first brand in the world to pioneer in the mid- 1970s. This hybridization of functional menswear and Italian fabric innovation is the origin of C.P. Company and still today remains the basis of every piece of clothing to carry the C.P. Company label.
The film is directed by &SON and photography by Kevin Cummins.
