This fall, Swedish design brand Bernadotte & Kylberg, founded by Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte and Oscar Kylberg, is unveiling an exclusive range of premium furniture, introducing the first addition to their evolving The Tulip collection, crafted from the finest brass.
Both of the new collections are produced in Sweden using carefully selected, locally sourced materials, in collaboration with some of the country’s leading craftsmen and producers.
Last year, Bernadotte & Kylberg launched their own brand and captivated the design world with their debut collection of luxurious wool and silk scarves and throws. Building on that success, the design brand is now introducing the Eriksberg Collection, featuring a chair, a writing desk, and an exclusive cabinet. They are also launching The Tulip, an evolving collection of brass products.
“We are very happy and humbled by the fantastic reception our first collection of scarves and throws received both in the Nordic countries and internationally,” says Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte.
For the Eriksberg furniture collection, Bernadotte & Kylberg drew inspiration from the timeless beauty of the nature surrounding Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve in southern Sweden, where they designed all the interiors at the Ark, a prestigious, newly opened hotel building on the premises.
“Bernadotte & Kylberg have created a new sustainable and timeless design that reflects the soul and natural diversity of Eriksberg. They have designed the entire exclusive interior in our new hotel building the Ark, from furniture to carpets, in three nature-orientated suites on three different floors,” says Per-Arne Olsson, CEO of Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve.
Swedish Craftsmanship and Swedish Materials
In designing this collection, the duo carefully selected luxurious materials such as solid oak, brass, and Bishop diabase-a rare and fascinating stone, formed during some of Earth’s most dramatic volcanic eruptions approximately 900 to 1500 million years ago.
“The diabase stone quarried at Biskopsgården, in the northeastern part of the Swedish region Skåne, is truly unique, impressing not only with its rarity but also with its exceptional character and composition,” Oscar Kylberg explains.
The collection is carefully designed and produced in Sweden, making each piece of furniture a unique, meticulously crafted work of art, made to last for generations.

The Bernadotte & Kylberg design studio was founded in 2012 by Carl Philip Bernadotte and Oscar Kylberg, who, since then, have created design for renowned Scandinavian and international brands such as Hästens, Skultuna, Gärsnäs, Georg Jensen, Stelton, and Zwiesel, among others. Their portfolio is comprised of a highly diverse and wide range of design objects and projects: from beds, stools, and other furniture, to glassware, tableware, vases, candle holders, eyewear, and jackets. Over the past few years, the studio has also collaborated with the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, Lapland, to create the beautiful suite known as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as with the Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve, which is a fairly new collaboration.
Bernadotte & Kylberg’s design philosophy is to create unique and sustainable design, with a razor-sharp focus on maximum user benefit and high design quality. The duo sees it as their duty to make users question how we use and perceive an object through the use of new textiles, materials, and techniques – and in doing so, to create innovative design that lasts for generations. Among other accolades, Bernadotte & Kylberg have been awarded the TableWare International Award of Excellence and the Red Dot Award in the category of “High Quality Design” for their Aquatic collection for Stelton, as well as the German Design Gold Award for the Signum collection for Zwiesel.
