DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT
JK Bleeg Contemporary Art celebrates the energy, vibrancy, serenity and tranquillity of English gardens with a new collection of artworks.
Through bold, expressive strokes and layers of translucent paint, each piece strives to capture the fleeting beauty of gardens and the ethereal dance of sunlight through flower petals. The collection provides a sensory experience for the viewer, inviting them to meander through each painting as if wandering down a garden path, weaving in their own stories and memories along the way.
Gardens uplift the spirit. Their colors, textures and movement are both soothing and energising. I want to bring that rejuvenating energy into the spaces where people live and work.

J.K. Bleeg is an American artist living in Bristol, England. Her work is influenced by how color can trigger memories and elevate the energy of a space. In each of her works, she aims to use colour in combination with hints of the natural landscape to build mood and provide the viewer with an escape to — or a permanent reminder of — a special place, memory, or state of mind.
Bleeg spent many years working in journalism and corporate communications before pursuing her life-long love of painting. She has studied with professional artists over the years but is largely self-taught.
J.K. Bleeg works primarily in acrylic on canvas, building each piece with layers of paint and added pastel, charcoal and other mixed media to create texture and depth. Her paintings have been exhibited in juried shows in the U.S. and U.K. and included in such books as ArtFolio and the Bristol & Bath Art Book. Her work is in private and corporate collections in the U.S., Canada, Europe and the Middle East.
