SoHo menswear lounge Sartoria Studio announces a new partnership with jewelry designer BURKINDY.

Sartoria Studio is the first Manhattan retailer to carry the Brooklyn-based designer’s fine jewelry collection. As Manhattan’s haberdashery of choice for edgy styling and one-of-a-kind fits, Sartoria Studio has also become the destination for a range of curated luxury men’s accessories. This partnership marks Sartoria Studio’s expansion into the fine jewelry and semi-precious jewelry categories.

Sartoria Studio will feature a robust collection of BURKINDY jewelry designs crafted in gold, sterling silver, brass, gemstones, leather, beadwork, and other materials. Burkindy is an award-winning jewelry designer based in Brooklyn, New York. The name Burkindy is inspired by his homeland of Burkina Faso, West Africa. The designs are unmistakably connected with his heritage, and he also finds himself responding to and attempting to mimic the beauty and forms found in nature, plants, and animals. Something about the intricacy and details is fascinating to him- details he enjoys translating into the perfect custom piece.

Burkina Faso can be translated as “Land of the Upright People.” Similarly, in the tribal dialect of the Mossi people, ‘burkindy’ translates to integrity, something Burkindy strives for in all his work. He believes each piece, no matter the medium, should maintain the strength of quality and character.
