Developed by Munich-based, award winning industrial designer Bastian Müller, activewear brand Patronace uses the innovative GRDXKN printing technology that transforms substrates into smart textiles.
GRDXKN®’s interconnected combination of materials creates new areas of application for textiles. The functional or performance spectrum of GRDXKN® is constantly being expanded. Amongst others, the current catalog includes integrated protection, aerodynamics, insulation and grip.
PATRONACE creates fashion for your accelerated life. The clothes are made for everyday urban mobility. No matter if you ride a skateboard, scooter or e-bike. The unique look derives from its functional layers: The membrane textile shell is breathable, moisture controlling and water repellent. The printed combs form a protective layer in case of a fall.

STRUCTURE PRINT – FUNCTIONAL TEXTILE SOLUTIONS
While the GRDXKN® team print functions, the weight of the textiles remains low and the flexibility high at the same time. The integrated, volume-forming material is abrasion-resistant and shock-absorbent (tested). This creates a novel interplay between graphics and structure. Function and design are elevated to a common level.
The innovative printing technology of GRDXKN® in combination with the special printing pastes makes it possible to provide a variety of textiles such as cotton, polyester, nylon or blended fabrics such as aramid cotton with additional, technical features (functions). The GRDXKN® team follows the claim of honesty and transparency. Only in this combination of cooperation is sustainable action possible.
GRDXKN® alias Bastian Müller advises on the entire toolbox: aesthetics, printing pastes, textile. The structures are infinitely variable, the aesthetics unique.
The flexible and expandable textile printing technology only works with the inclusion of the appropriate printing pastes. The printing pastes are water-based and solvent-free and offers are available for the B2B market.
With GRDXKN® I design a new typology of functional and unique textile products.
— Bastian Müller
The substrates for GRDXKN® structure printing, mostly textiles, are variable. Consultation is recommended though when selecting textiles.
This technology is currently used in several industries and would be interesting for others: Sportswear, Interieur, Fashion, Automotive, Concept Design.
PATRONACE

PATRONACE was founded in 2018 by Bastian Müller in Munich. The brand was first presented during the design fair MCBW in Munich, March 2018.
PATRONACE works with a innovative technology called GRDXKN. It is based on the 2D screen printing technology. But in contrast to printing patterns or graphics GRDXKN is developed to print tangible structures into a textile. The 3D effect on the surface varies with each textile base material, but also on the pattern and the thickness of the foam being printed.

The innovative 4D Printing Technology of GRDXKN® in combination with the special printing pastes makes it possible to provide a variety of textiles such as cotton, polyester, nylon or blended fabrics such as aramid cotton with additional, technical features (functions). GRDXKN is a newly invented technical ink, which becomes a flexible polyurethane foam when activated by heat. GRDXKN, made in Germany.
