A new textile collection selected from the hidden treasures of the iconic interior designer Florence Broadhurst, has been curated by Materialised and printed in Sydney for Florence Broadhurst Fabrics.
Florence Broadhurst fabric was used to add pattern, depth and color to this beautiful living area. With curtains and cushion made in Japanese Bamboo ‘Mustard’ , and Japanese Floral ‘Magpie’ used to recover an IKEA DIHULT pouffe, the luxe velvet base cloth creates a high-end space with a touch of glamour! Seven Australian women in design, passionate about Florence Broadhurst, were invited to select fabrics from the new collection.
Florence Broadhurst Halftone Clouds fabric in ‘Denim’, printed onto Palermo velvet, is used to create this stunning bench seat by Rapt Upholstery. Fabric AUD $120 per metre.
Claudia Chan Shaw; Jen Bishop (Interiors Addict); Natasha Dickins (Little Red Industries); Richelle Langdon (Oliver Myles Interiors); Georgie Leckey (Heatherly Design) and Kate Malfroy (Rapt Upholstery) either crafted something with the textiles through their own business or had the Florence Broadhurst Fabrics team make something for them. All creations were then styled for a photoshoot under the creative direction of Jessi Eve, (Jessi Eve Interiors.)

Florence Broadhurst is an icon in interior designer. Her library of some 500 textile and wallpaper designs has been in the hands of numerous licensees since her mysterious murder in 1977. Materialised are now custodians of these precious designs and have carefully curated a textile collection, available through the new consumer website florencebroadhurstfabrics.com
