For Fall Winter 2019/2020, Delpozo’s atelier presents a pure and clean collection for the modern-day woman.

The collection transforms the marvellous and couture inspired creations that the Spanish house is known for into easy and playful options for daily life; an approachable opulence.

It reflects on how a woman would dress if her closet was full of Delpozo, not only for special occasions but in her busy, everyday life.

•

This season’s refined silhouettes breathe of Delpozo’s savoir faire mixed with everyday staples – a couture-inspired ruffled jacket with a cashmere sweater; or an embroidered shirt with tailored tuxedo and wide-leg trousers.

However, one distinct piece surfaces as the key item of this collection: a midi length skirt with a bias-cut ruffle and a simple, figure hugging shape in the back. This skirt comes in two different fabrics: silk moire for evening attire and a cotton gabardine for daywear.

The former version is styled with an oversized merino wool sweater, whilst the more casual interpretation is paired with an embroidered top; showing the freedom with which these pieces should be worn. It embodies more than anything, the idea of opulence and ease.

Earthy and neutrals hues are contrasted with surprisingly bright blooming colors turned into bold colorful statement looks.

Delpozo embraces time-honored couture techniques with a modern sensibility to create unique and feminine pieces for the contemporary woman.

A combination of contrasting elements defines the prêt-à- couture house. Delpozo is traditional and modern, organic and architectural, sumptuous and pure.

The hallmarks of the Delpozo atelier include a creative approach to volume, color, and silhouette. Artisan techniques and intricate embroideries are used throughout the collections to create the ethereal and timeless Delpozo aesthetic.

Since 2018, German designer Lutz Huelle is Delpozo’s creative director. A Central Saint Martin’s College alumni, Huelle worked at Martin Margiela before launching his eponymous brand in 2000.

He has consulted for several brands including Max Mara Fashion Group and Brioni; and has won the prestigious ANDAM Award in Paris twice.
