With Boutiques Located in Luxury Shopping Capitals Across the Globe, the New Shop is the Latest in Marie France Van Damme’s Expansion

Marie France Van Damme, the Hong Kong-based designer known for her globally influenced line of luxury resort, swim, and ready-to-wear, continues to expand her presence worldwide with the opening of the brand’s eighth boutique in August, 2017. Marie France Van Damme’s new boutique is located in Bangkok’s iconic Ratchaprasong district, in the city’s exclusive Gaysorn Village, which this year is introducing a new lifestyle shopping and entertainment complex. The store marks Marie France Van Damme’s second Bangkok retail location; the designer also has a boutique within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

While many luxury brands are shying away from retail, Marie France Van Damme continues to open new stores across the globe. In the past few years, the designer has opened stores in London’s Brompton Cross and Singapore’s Takashimaya Shopping Centre, with more new boutiques to come as the designer continues to expand her presence worldwide focusing on cities that not only inspire the designer, but also appeal to her sophisticated, jet-set clientele.

Situated on the ground floor (no. GF-11) of Gaysorn Village, on 999 Gaysorn Ploenchit Rd., Lumpini, Pathumwan, Bangkok, the 500-square foot boutique will incorporate Marie France Van Damme’s signature aesthetic, which blends subtle Asian influences and elegant simplicity, with teak wood, bronze panels, and embossed crocodile leathers with textiles and finishes that can be found in the designer’s home as well as her flagships in Hong Kong and London. Focused on the client’s personalized luxury experience, the new boutique will offer Marie France Van Damme’s extensive luxury resort and ready to wear lines; Beach Bridal collection; and range of accessories.

To celebrate the opening, the store will host a series of special events and introduce the Resort 2017 campaign in-store photographed in Hong Kong by Herbert Ypma. The campaign features the latest collection which is a return to the glamorous roots of resort wear with its muted palette of silver and nude, hand embroidery and opulent fabrics; from French lace to metallic-toned Italian weaves and featherweight Chinese silks.
