Show & Launch of the Latest Collaboration Capsule Collection
Puma and Trapstar Previewed the Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday, March 5th, 2016.
Global Sports Brand PUMA and London-based lifestyle brand Trapstar go hard in Autumn-Winter ’16 as they are set to release their first collaboration collection featuring a range of footwear, apparel and accessories. Following the teaser drop in December ’15 that saw the PUMA Blaze of Glory get the Trapstar treatment, the incoming season’s collection promises a perfect blend of streetwear credibility and classic sports styles.
As far as Trapstar is concerned, there is a star trapped inside everyone. Forged from underground subculture, founders Mike, Lee and Will take iconic cinema, photography, music and contemporary art as inspiration for the brand that have gained such a cult following worldwide. Transcending the ethos of their brand through designs that follow true inspiration (not trends), Trapstar partners with PUMA to remix their vision of lifestyle wear with iconic sports silhouettes.
The collaborative collection takes cues from military wear, football and team spirit. Bold red hues, subtly contrasting details, and athletic elements update familiar designs, including the Disc, while giving an edge to fresh apparel.
The DISC Blaze Camo with TRAPSTAR webbing is combined with the PUMA DISC system while the camo print from the synthetic leather upper extend to the Trinomic outsole. Perennial classics Suede and Basket come out in clean, tonal colorway in suede and leather iterations. More premium than ever before.
Trapstar put their stamp on PUMA’s CELL Bubble with the ‘white noise’ all over print. PUMA’s streamlined outsole and elastic lace buckle, insock color blocking in red takes this silhouette beyond streetwear. The double tongue feature and textile texture make the style even more stereoscopic.

The original T7 Savannah is re-invented with a premium football edge. Heat transfer accents are applied and laser-cut down the back for a bolder, breathable effect that links this jacket to functional athletic designs. Meanwhile, a high-contrast camo print helps this city-exploring essential reflect the TRAPSTAR archive. The Tracktop, a classic full-zip hoody, becomes more functional and fashion-forward with this TRAPSTAR refresh. Its zip-off sleeves allow you to adapt to activity and weather, while football-inspired back cutouts offer cool, breathable com- fort. The TRAPSTAR archive gets an additional nod from a solid black with TRAPSTAR red colour pops that can’t help but stand out from practice to the pub. Teaming a classic football kit with fearless street style, the Bib is lightly padded vest echoes the TRAPSTAR identity with its tonal camo treatment. Another football inspired piece is the Team Parka. Inspired by the classic coaching jackets used while training in the cold, wet weather, this down-filled design gets a dose of street style boldness from TRAPSTAR’s signature “white noise” print insert on the sleeve. It ́s water repellant finish and soft padding makes this style a jacket that is resistant to any misty winter days. Finally, the collection is complemented with the PUMA x TRAPSTAR 32 panel football with premium anodised TPU finish featuring the “white noise” graphic.
The PUMA x Tapster Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection releases on 15th August through Puma.com, Trapstar.com and select lifestyle retailers globally.
