Narciso Rodriguez
I've got a soft spot for Narciso Rodriguez and I hate writing a bad review about him, so I am quite pleased that this collection was rather nice. My complaint would be that he showed a few too many trousers and tops, I feel that his customer is more of a dress and coat woman (or at least, that's what she goes to Narciso for.) Rodarte
Everyone seemed to be so hyped up about the fact that George Lucas was at Rodarte's show. Sure, it might be marginally exciting if he is doing a movie and he plans on getting the Mulleavy sisters to design the costumes, but other than that, who cares? I mean, the guy isn't exactly the most exciting celeb in the world, why was everyone so worked up about it? Proenza Schouler
This is the first time I've been wow-ed by a Proenza Schouler show. The edgy biker jackets, textured tailoring fabrics, and young, hip separates were super desirable. I actually liked the whole collection, except (and there is always an exception) the baggy leather trousers. Those were just bad...read more |
