I was pleased when Raf Simons was named as creative director at Dior, not because I thought he was THE man for the job, but because he was a far, far better choice than the other names floating around: Hedi Slimane, Christopher Kane, Marc Jacobs, and Alexander Wang. Those were all terrifying choices.

Jean Paul Gaultier
When I looked at the images of this Jean Paul Gaultier show on Vogue.com, I spotted in the first sentence of the review that the runway soundtrack was Pete Doherty. And I sort of wanted to barf because he is SO five years ago, and his music stinks, and Gaultier can do better than that. Or can he? This was probably the worst show he has done in some time.
