This show had some stunning pieces in it, notably the great jackets and coats, which were beautifully cut and show Sarah Burton's ability to stick to the Alexander McQueen handwriting, yet move it forward a little by injecting her own signature. D&G
This D&G collection was all over the place, but somehow it worked. The models were dressed in a mish-mash of colours and shapes, and while the mood was very young, there were a lot of great "adult" pieces. Dolce & Gabbana
I am guessing Dolce & Gabbana sell a lot of menswear, that is the only rational explanation for showing 85 looks on the catwalk, most of which were repetitive. But they cut a mean suit and this collection was a great balance of commercial and fashion forward pieces...read more |
